R.J. Corman Switching Company is currently seeking a Load Planner in San Antonio, TX. Candidate will be responsible for managing the logistics of loads and their destinations per Class I specifics and will work inside an office and plant atmosphere. They will create and maintain tracking sheets that keep the staging yard safe, organized, and efficient. They must have excellent Excel knowledge and computer skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work as a team. Extensive background and urine drug screen required.

Hourly Rate: $16.88

Weekly Schedule: M-F 9am-7pm with some Saturdays based on production

Job Requirements:

Responsibilities: 

• Ensure working conditions are safe, and proper PPE is being used as required before starting any work. 
• Follow all safety rules, regulations, and company rules, guidelines, and processes.
• Safely work alone or as a team and ability to multitask in a time-sensitive plant atmosphere.
• Use information from online software to create and maintain tracking sheet in Excel for load operations/destinations.
• Take instruction from Operations Manager on load planning based on railcar availability.
• Communicate well with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.

Education and Experience: **Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply**

Physical Requirements:

• Limited lifting no greater than 30 lbs. Hand and finger dexterity for use of keyboard skills; ability to use a computer, phone, and general office equipment. 
• Able to navigate and work inside a plant atmosphere.

Environmental Conditions: Must be able to perform specified duties in an office environment. A rapidly expanding company requires employees to be flexible with altering plant operating schedules.

Job Dimensions: Must be able to perform duties under direct supervision, when given general direction with limited discretion. Willingness to work flexible hours to meet customer and company needs.
