Responsibilities :
Drive company vehicle to the delivery destination (customer location, job site, other company locations), confirm order with customer, unload and verify product.
Notify Branch Manager of delivery errors (i.e. short ships, damaged product, etc.), immediately.
Performs pre / post-trip inspections of vehicle to ensure vehicle is in good condition and properly maintained. Complete Driver's Log, daily delivery log and vehicle maintenance forms.
Maintain up-to-date and accurate vehicle documentation (registration, tags, insurance, stickers, etc.).
Communicate from the field with the Branch Manager and other company personnel as needed.
Verify vehicle is fueled in accordance to management instructions and business needs and notifies management of needed repairs.
Abide by customer directed delivery instructions regarding parking, entrances, exits, etc.
Unload deliveries to branch and delivery location by hand or by using material handling equipment (MHE) and place product in assigned stocking areas.
Use efficient delivery routes to minimize delivery time.
Ensure commitments made to customer are met / exceeds expectation by meeting scheduled delivery times. Uphold professionalism when interacting with coworkers and customers.
Additional Warehouse Duties Include :
Pull customer orders from warehouse and load into company delivery trucks, customer vehicle or stage items for pick up while using safe material handling procedures.
Produce and complete accurate paperwork including but not limited to invoices, and C.O.D.'s, special orders, vendor purchase orders, shipping and receiving paperwork
Ensure all product leaving the branch is billed. Collect payment via cash, or credit card and by following all money handling procedures.
Follow procedure to process all customer returns and warranties the same day it is received.
Ensure safe and efficient operation of lift truck or other MHE. Keep forklift in good working order and properly maintained.
Perform all warehouse related duties including maintaining the appearance of the warehouse and entire facility. Duties include but are not limited to clearing of debris, pallets and cartons, sweeping, vacuuming, cleaning bathroom, emptying trash and tidying shelves.
Maintain appearance of yard and parking area by removing trash daily.
Verify accuracy of incoming orders by counting before product is securely stocked on racking, and organized / stocked correctly to prevent damage.
Immediately report discrepancies, damage, safety issues and accidents to supervisor.
Process, prepare and receive all product shipped by UPS.
Requirements :
Valid driver's license.
Ability to pass required DOT physical.
Satisfactory driving record.
Knowledge of material handling equipment.
Must be at least 18 years old to operate forklift.
Work Environment :
Fast-paced environment with occasional extreme temperatures.
Monday through Friday schedule with some Saturday shifts.
This is a safety sensitive position.
