R&D Manco is Hiring a Mechanical Assembler Near Phoenix, AZ

R&D Manco is a precision manufacturer of components and assemblies for the aerospace and defense industries. Manufacturing parts for crafts that range in purpose from the exploring the bottom of the ocean to venturing to the space station.

Seeking a top performing Mechanical Assembler who is an innovative thinker and reliable team member. Candidates should have a minimum 2 years’ of mechanical experience or equivalent training in a shop; preferably in the aerospace industry. The Assembler is responsible for various types of part marking, straightening, roll staking, adhesive bonding, powder coating, pressure test and installation of rivets, helicoils, and bushings as required from the work instructions. Skills necessary to be successful in the role include:

Responsibilities:

· Ensure proper documentation is entered on manufacturing ERP system

· Assembly basic and complex parts using setup sheet for verification found under assemble work instructions:

o Bushings

o Pins

o Plugs

o Helicoils

o Inserts

o Rivets

· Operate all part marking equipment such as vibro pencil, Electro etch machine, and dot peen

· Perform pressure testing required and properly fill out certification per blueprint requirements

· Works with Purchasing to ensure all necessary supplies are ordered and in stock so as not to create a work stoppage

Qualifications:

· Work under limited oversight

· Able to read and understand manufacturing planning, engineering blueprints and sketches

· Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

· Must be able to use mathematics relevant to functions

· Requires familiarity with machine tools, precision instruments and good manual dexterity

· Requires the ability to follow demonstrated steps and/or written set up sheets

· Demonstrate proper and safe operation of equipment, and personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, safety glasses/full face shield, hearing protection, and gloves as required

· The assembler performs physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs; they frequently lift, balance and handle material. Candidates must be able to lift 25lbs frequently and up to 40lbs occasionally.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42 per week
