Business Intelligence Analyst

The Business Intelligence Analyst has an excellent ability to work with clients to understand business requirements and build high-quality BI solutions that deliver business insights and addresses requirements. The successful candidate is a quick learner, collaborative, self-motivated, and detail-oriented that is eager to learn modern technologies while leveraging their existing analytical, process-driven, technical and management skills to create and maintain Business Intelligence applications and solutions while applying agile methods, and the ‘know how’ to build, unit test & document high-quality technical solutions that meet business requirements & solve for the business need.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality and sustainable reports, dashboards, and other Business Intelligence and Corporate Performance Management solutions using products such as Board and NetSuite.
• Acquire and maintain deep product knowledge and skills.
• Participates in the end-to-end solution delivery process, including requirement gathering, design, development, testing and delivery.
• Experience defining ETL requirements for data mapping and data transformation processes.
• Provide product presentations and demonstrations on all activities concerning Enterprise and Tactical Business Intelligence/Corporate Performance Management applications.
• Support testing activities, including integration testing, end-to-end (business process) testing, user acceptance testing, as well as problem identification and error resolution process, including tracking, repairing, and reporting defects.
• Create, edit, revise, and finalize life cycle deliverables such as requirements specifications, solution design documents, and operating instructions. -
• Create and maintain process, functional, technical, project or other documentation, as may be required, to support design, development, project management, training, change management and user adoption.
• Requirement’s elicitation and User Story documentation skills, including experience gathering BI requirements through group workshops, JAD sessions, and individual interviews
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with business and technology stakeholders and internal/external team members. Identify issues and escalates/manages resolution as required.
• Provide support during non-standard work hours or during an unplanned outage or emergency if needed.

Requirements

• 1-3 years’ experience working with Business Intelligence or EPM / CPM platforms, query and reporting analysis tools, and delivery of reports, dashboards, and BI solutions.
• Knowledge and understanding of SQL, relational databases, data modeling, data warehousing and data normalization.
• Knowledge of big data, predictive analytics, data visualization, real-time analytics, and multi-dimensional databases.
• Board or NetSuite analytics applications experience preferred but not required (R-CUBED will support learning and certification path for hired candidates).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• An aptitude for problem-solving, with the ability to take a logical route to address issues.
• A self-starter who delivers high-quality work and can adapt to new challenges, either on their own or as part of a team.
• Proactive in communicating with team, colleagues, and leadership and are comfortable working with business stakeholders/teams globally.
• Proficiency with Agile, Scrum, or other iterative development methodologies.
• Ability and desire to learn modern technologies and development tools.
• An open, creative mindset eager to apply innovative approaches to software development.
• Exemplary documentation capability and verbal communication upholding the R-CUBED brand standard.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or relevant major or experience equivalency.
