About the Position

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Software Engineer with strong leadership skills to join our team at Qumulo. As a key member of our engineering team, you will design, develop, and deliver Qumulo's cutting-edge storage solutions that allow customers to Scale Anywhere. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with extensive technical expertise, a proven track record in software engineering, and a passion for guiding and mentoring a team.

Responsibilities

• Software Development:
  • Lead the development of high-quality, scalable, and reliable software solutions.
  • Collaborate with product management to translate customer requirements into working software.
• Technical Leadership:
  • Provide strong technical leadership on a feature team of software engineers.
  • Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Collaboration:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the success of Qumulo's solutions.
  • Cultivate a collaborative and inclusive team culture that values diverse perspectives and encourages open communication.

Qualifications

• Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 9 years of professional experience in software engineering, with a focus on distributed systems, storage, or related domains.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in native programming languages such as C, C or Rust.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture and design principles.
• Leadership Skills:
  • Proven experience leading engineering teams, demonstrating strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to make sound technical decisions and guide the team toward successful outcomes.
• Innovative Mindset:
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate and contribute to the development of cutting-edge technologies.
  • Passion for staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Key Benefits

The annual pay range for the role is USD $225,000 - $325,000. Individual pay depends on various factors, such as role level, relevant experience and skills, and location. Pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the pay range applicable at the time. U.S. based employees have access to healthcare benefits, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, wellbeing benefits, flexible time off, and paid holidays, among others.
