Quirch Foods is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive LTL Dispatcher to join our transportation team. The LTL Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating the efficient transportation of less-than-truckload (LTL) shipments to ensure timely delivery to our customers. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a solid understanding of transportation logistics, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispatching and Routing: Coordinate the daily dispatching and routing of LTL shipments to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
• Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, carriers, and customers to provide updates on shipment status, address inquiries, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Schedule Management: Manage driver schedules, monitor driver availability, and optimize route assignments to ensure on-time delivery of shipments.
• Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate records of shipment details, including pickup and delivery times, freight charges, and customer information.
• Problem Solving: Identify and resolve transportation-related issues, such as delays, rerouting, and capacity constraints, to minimize disruptions and meet customer expectations.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), such as on-time delivery percentage and driver utilization, to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including warehouse operations and customer service, to optimize transportation logistics and enhance overall operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in transportation dispatching, preferably in the LTL sector.
• Strong knowledge of transportation logistics, routing software, and industry regulations.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with drivers, carriers, and customers.
• Proficiency in computer systems and software applications, including transportation management systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
