Quincy Public Schools is Hiring a High School Mathematics Teacher Near Quincy, MA

Position Overview: We are currently seeking a passionate and qualified High School Mathematics Teacher to join our dynamic faculty. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mathematics education, a commitment to collegiality while fostering a positive and engaging learning environment, and a desire to contribute to the overall academic success of our students.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective daily lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards along with district and school wide pacing, scope and sequence.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes student participation and critical thinking.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students and assess their progress through various evaluation methods.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience for students.
  • Participate in district and school events including but not limited to: report card conferences, professional development opportunities, staff meetings and Induction/Mentorship Program including New Professional Staff Orientation (beginning prior to start of school year).
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Mathematics or a related field is preferred).
  • Valid Massachusetts teaching certification.
  • Previous experience teaching high school mathematics is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum development and educational best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Ability and willingness to participate in extracurricular programming is preferred .
