Psychiatric Travel RN
• Monitor and record patients’ vitals and psychiatric states.
• Collaborate with medical team on psychiatric intervention plans and patient care.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered to assigned patients.
• Remove potentially harmful and triggering environmental features.
• Practice crisis intervention and stabilization.
• Provide targeted psychoeducation to families of patients.
• Flexibility to travel to the assignment location.
• Availability to work the facility’s required schedule.
• Willingness to complete onboarding items in a timely manner.
• Ability to quickly adapt to new environments and strive for the highest quality of patient care.
• Also referred to as: psychiatric registered nurse, behavioral health nurse, psyche nurse.
Job Requirements
• 1 year of experience as a Psych nurse
• Graduate from an accredited nursing school
• Current state specific RN license in good standing, or if applicable, a compact state RN license in good standing
• BLS certification required
• May require MAB/CPI certification
