Cath Lab Travel RN
• Must have experience in preparing patients for catheterization, angioplasty and pacemaker implantations.
• Prepare for operations, which may include sterilizing the space and preparing the patient at the catheter insertion site.
• Conduct and properly document comprehensive initial and ongoing assessments and tests.
• Monitor patient’s vitals and sedation; report adverse reactions in a timely manner.
• Educate patient and family on discharge information, including care.
• Participate in the execution and implementation of patient care plan; review and revise plan according to any changes in patient status.
• Flexibility to travel to the assignment location.
• Availability to work the facility’s required schedule.
• Willingness to complete onboarding items in a timely manner.
• Ability to quickly adapt to new environments and strive for the highest quality of patient care.
• Also referred to as: cardiac cath lab registered nurse, cardiac catheter lab nurse
Job Requirements:
• 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab nurse
• Graduate from an accredited nursing school
• Current state specific RN license in good standing, or if applicable, a compact state RN license in good standing
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
