Operating Room / Surgical Travel RN
- Provide patients with perioperative care in recovery, procedure, and operating rooms.
- Ensure operating room is sterilized and prepared with all necessary supplies, instruments, and equipment.
- Monitor patient’s vitals and report adverse reactions in a timely manner.
- Develop and implement patient care plans for surgical patients.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered to assigned patients.
- If necessary, respond to medical emergency and alert appropriate team members.
- Flexibility to travel to the assignment location.
- Availability to work the facility’s required schedule.
- Willingness to complete onboarding items in a timely manner.
- Ability to quickly adapt to new environments and strive for the highest quality of patient care.
- Also referred to as: operating room registered nurse, surgical nurse, scrub nurse, circulate nurse.
- 1 year of surgical experience as an Operating Room nurse
- Graduate from an accredited nursing school
- Current state specific RN license in good standing, or if applicable, a compact state RN license in good standing
- BLS certification required
- May require ACLS certification
