Reporting to the Practice Manager, the Testing Technician assists Doctors with patient coordination and preparation. This position focuses on performing standard preliminary eye tests and updated patient records in the EMS accurately.
Primary Responsibilities
· Record information in the EMS and chart for the appointment accurately and efficiently
· Required to assist ophthalmology patients by performing diagnostic testing; Ocular Coherence Topography (OCT) tests, visual fields (VF), Fundus Photos, Lipiscan, etc.
· Update patient records using high level of proficiency within the EMS or other related system.
· Comply with all HIPPA regulations in all interactions with patient information
· Other related duties as assigned
TRAVEL:
· Must be able to travel to different area clinic locations, outside of the primary location(s) assignment, based on physician and patient needs and appointments.
Required Qualification
· High School graduate/GED equivalent
· Proficient in computer programs and navigating a computer effectively
· Previous clinical or medical office experience preferred
