Overview:
The Marketing Specialist - Marketing Activation, Social Content will lead organic social and other digital content planning and development for the Enterprise – across both Murphy USA and QuickChek brands. The Specialist will also support Marketing Activation execution for each brand. To be successful, the Specialist will work closely with Marketing Activation leadership to align priorities and build content plans that are insights-based and timely, growing awareness, consideration, and affinity for the brands. This will be accomplished by having a strong grasp on the brands, the customers, the industry, and digital and social usage and trends. The Specialist will be responsible for the development and coordination of content leveraging key sponsorships and partnerships. The role presents an opportunity to leverage creativity within the context of disciplined measurement.

Responsibilities:
Under the leadership of the Director, Marketing Activation, develops social strategies – by Brand and channel, supporting key Brand and Category Marketing initiatives as well as promotional sales period initiatives
Creates concepts and execute creative for campaigns, including video, photography, animations, gifs, graphics, and other copy and design assets for social media
Identifies appropriate use of partnerships and partnerships (with Brand partners) for improved social media execution including influencer
Partners with senior Marketing leadership, as well as the team at large – Brand and Category Marketing, Consumer Insights and Marketing Intelligence, and Media – to inform and optimize plans
Successfully supports the objectives set forth in the annual Brand strategy as well as Category-specific and Activation plans
Collaborates with agency of record (AOR), Media, and National Calling Center (customer service) to ensure alignment, test and/or boost appropriately, and manage the social media communities
Effectively packages and communicates campaign performance and insights for Marketing Activation leadership
Applies lessons learned on subsequent program iterations and identifies opportunities to improve outcomes and processes, as well as to reduce costs
Advocates for Marketing Activation function across specific brands and cross-Enterprise by developing strong internal relationships
Qualifications:
2 years of experience in Marketing, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred)
OR recent college graduate with social media experience
