We are currently seeking compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses with experience in various specialties to join our team in Indianapolis, IN, for contract positions. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment and make a positive impact on patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients across various specialties, including Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, Emergency Room (ER), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Labor and Delivery (L&D), Surgery, and Stepdown/Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
• Assess patients' health status, develop nursing care plans, and implement appropriate interventions to promote optimal patient outcomes.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accuracy and patient safety.
• Monitor patients' vital signs, symptoms, and overall condition, recognizing and responding promptly to changes in health status.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members, including physicians, nurse practitioners, therapists, and other allied health professionals, to coordinate patient care and achieve positive outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques, empowering them to actively participate in their healthcare journey.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses to treatment accurately and timely in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Maintain a clean and safe patient care environment, adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance improvement activities to enhance patient care delivery and outcomes.
• Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and compassion in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.

Skills:

• Proficiency in one or more nursing specialties (Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, ER, ICU, L&D, Surgery, Stepdown/PCU)
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and unit assignments

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in one or more nursing specialties
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification may be required for certain specialties
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred for certain specialties
