Assistant Director of Nursing

Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm (additional on-call aspect)

Pay: $60,000 - $65,000/year

Key Responsibilities:

• Assists Director of Nursing in the oversight of the day-to-day care of clients
• Ensures Quality Assurance activities are completed.
• Serves in this hands-on supervisory position as a member of the management team.
• Creates monthly work schedules for nursing team.
• Arranges for and conducts in-service programs.
• Makes rounds with the physician and addresses newly written physician’s orders.
• Administer medications, including controlled substances, and treatments per physician’s orders.
• Participates in the interviewing, hiring, and training of staff.
• Participates in the admission and discharge process for residents.
• Completes ordering of nursing and direct care supplies.
• Ensures nursing staff follow proper infection control techniques.
• Rotates on call responsibility with the Director of Nursing.

Qualifications:

• Current unrestricted LPN or RN certification in the state of Florida required.
• 2 years in management or supervisory position preferred.
• Florida Driver’s License in good standing.
• Able to work in the US and not require visa sponsorship.
• Communicate at all levels in English.
