QUES is Hiring an Utility Field Inspector Near St. Louis, MO

Our growing company is seeking to hire a Utility Field Inspector who will perform a visual inspection and data collection of overhead electrical and communication facilities associated with the distribution infrastructure.
Utility Field Inspector Responsibilities:
Safety
Follow all Safety protocols and practices established by company safety policies.
Possess a working knowledge of OSHA requirements to the induvial job responsibilities.
Responsible to maintain a safe and healthful place of work.
Personal protective equipment must be used when and where required, and properly maintained.
Maintain a safe driving record.
Quality
Responsible for the quality of your individual work.
Responsible for meeting the quality requirements as outlined per project working on.
Self-check all work and the work of others as assigned.
Develop a working knowledge of the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC), electrical utility construction standards, utility pole attachment standards, communication standards, and other communication facilities.
Perform visual inspections of utility poles.
Identify the overhead electrical components of distribution structures.
Identify overhead communication components and attachments.
Collect and record data on all overhead electrical and communication components: type, size, height, angle, owner, etc.
Perform data collection utilizing approved collection materials to include laptop, iPad, gps, range finder, measuring sticks, and other electronic devices as necessary.
Operate necessary equipment to take measurements on utility poles and mid-span facilities and perform pole inspections.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Field Inspector Requirements:
Working knowledge of power and or communication industry is preferred.
Clear driving record.
Additional Considerations:
Field role with full time travel to various US cities.
Work week will typically consist of 6 – 10 hour days.
Working outdoors, walking several miles a day and carry equipment such as tool belt, measuring equipment, laptop, etc. as required.
Work areas will include both urban and rural environments. The locations will be located street side, in back yards, along alleys, through a wooded area or a field, etc.
Customer or public interaction is likely throughout the day.
