The Data Analyst – EDM (Enterprise Data Management) Operations position will collaborate with business stakeholders and Quartz data warehouse team members to analyze and remediate reported and operational incidents specific to the Enterprise Data Warehouse, reporting layer, and external data submissions. This role will also update processes and technical documentation and test technical changes. This position will work across teams and with vendors to ensure the successful resolution of incidents and recovery of processes. The Data Analyst-EDM Operations position will work through incidents and requests for a variety of subject areas based on priority and ensure that Service Level Targets (SLTs) are met.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, external vendors and/or government entities to resolve reported and operational incidents and test technical changes.
  • Promptly monitor, assign, and work through incidents and requests, based on priority and ensure that service level targets are met.
  • Perform root cause analysis and contribute to remediation planning and implementation.
  • Communicate cause, status, and solution to appropriate internal and external stakeholders.
  • Document service tickets and ensure that technical documentation is consistent with the technical implementation at the point of production deployment and incident resolution.
  • Write and execute an appropriate test plan for the level of complexity of the solution and work with Quartz Data Warehouse team members to remediate operational and report incident.
• Moderate to complex impact analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Complete impact assessments and ad hoc analyses to ensure that production issues and other reported deficiencies are understood and resolved by updating requirements.
  • Understand source and target data structures, using standard data tools to review required data and fully profile the data to analyze the impact on downstream data processes, external data submissions, and Quartz business.
  • Review requirements, technical specifications, and data models and update appropriately based upon final remediation.
  • Perform data validation and testing for technical changes and process improvements.
  • Map source system data to data warehouse models.
  • Work closely with Quartz Data Warehouse team members to fully resolve operational and reported issues.
  • Test final resolutions and ensure that the implementation meets business requirements and service level targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Business
• 2 years of experience in information technology, supporting analytic and operational reporting applications, industry standard ITSM processes, and translating business requirements into technical solutions
• Effective communication skills with a passion for bridging the gap between business and technical users
• Experience with source to target documentation
• Excellent documentation and written communication skills
• Domain knowledge (Healthcare, EHR, managed care, Medicare, etc.) is preferred
• Intermediate knowledge of SQL, analytical software, query tools
• Intermediate knowledge of data warehousing principles including provenance, lineage, modeling, etc. and applies best practices
• Intermediate problem-solving and analytical skills
• Intermediate knowledge of ETL and data staging tools (Informatica, A2B)
• Intermediate knowledge of data visualization tools (Business Objects, Tableau)
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work independently, under pressure, and be adaptable to change
• Must be inquisitive and seek answers to questions
• Meticulous, well organized, helpful, conscientious, and prompt

This position can work 100% remotely or from our office in Madison, WI in a hybrid or full-time on-site arrangement, if preferred. Hardware and equipment will be provided by the company, but candidates must have access to high-speed, non-satellite Internet to successfully work from home.
