Overview:

Quantum Research International, Inc. (Quantum) is a certified DoD Contractor providing services and products to US/Allied governments and industry in the following main areas: (1) Cybersecurity, High Performance Computing Systems, Cloud Services and Systems; (2) Space and Ground Support Systems; (3) Aviation Systems; (4) Missile Systems; (5) Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning Systems and Experimentation/Training; and (6) Audio Visual Systems and Services. Quantum's Corporate Office is in Huntsville, AL, but Quantum actively hires for positions nationwide and internationally. Mission:

Quantum is currently seeking an IT Specialist to provide the US Space Force (USSF) Joint Navigation Warfare Center (JNWC) support related to its mission to plan, task, integrate, provide Command and Control (C2), and support integrated Navigation Warfare (NAVWAR). C2 is conducted day-to-day, through reachback capabilities and deployable subject matter experts, in support of US Combatant Commanders (CCDRs). Assistance is provided via the JNWC NAVWAR support cell, coordination cells, and deployable theater coordination cells.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide field support including hardware equipment support requirements, pre-assembled and supplied IT field equipment kits, maintaining and reporting on inventory and status of quick-reaction POFA support kits, securing kit replacement parts and compile inputs to create written Field Support requirements.
  • Coordinate with outside entities to ensure equipment operations and repair tasks during deployed events.
  • Provide expertise on supporting deployed equipment suites.
  • Assist in administrative IT deployment preparation activities and perform pre-deployment operational checks on requested IT equipment within required timelines.
  • Maintain and update hardware change configurations logs for deployed systems.
  • Provide personnel for deployed operations and attend all planning meetings as required by event/Test Director, including providing weekly status updates on deployed IT systems.
  • Conduct inventories of deployed equipment, IT equipment status checks, and perform recovery actions for all deployed IT equipment within the required timeline.
  • Support system administrator tasks as needed and directed.
  • Maintain required IT certifications and continuing education.
  • Provide Video Telecommunications and Telephone Conferencing support as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study (Computer Science, Engineering).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience of which at least 3 must be specialized experience including designing, implementing and/or administering medium to large information systems or networks.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in creation technical documentation reports and/or presentation.
  • IAT Level II baseline certification.
  • Master’s degree in related field may be substituted for 1 year of experience.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain DoD Secret clearance.
