We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join our growing organization. This position will be part of our Procurement team, reporting to the Associate Director of Procurement within our manufacturing organization.

This role has diverse responsibilities across the planning and procurement that requires support and interaction with personnel from all cross functional departments including but limited to Customer Service, Warehouse/logistics, Quality, R&D, Diagnostics, Engineering and Finance. The position will be responsible for developing, executing, and implementing effective procurement /category strategies in complex spend areas.

What You’ll Do:

• Creation and implementation of category strategies
• Effectively manage the entire request for proposal process including, but not limited to, the development of the requirements, drafting RFP documents, facilitation of team meetings and vendor sessions, negotiation of terms and pricing with the vendors, and ultimately supporting the execution of Supplier Agreements.
• Perform vendor pre-qualification and identify risks and mitigation plans to manage the vendor
• Responsible for requests for proposals, competitive supplier selection, price and contract negotiations, evaluating and assessing vendor ongoing performance.
• Lead or participate (with assistance from Legal advisor where necessary) in contracts / supply and quality agreements
• Manage supply risk by performing vendor research related to product comparisons, identify second sources, complete and manage change controls, and identify cost saving measures
• Manages the Supplier Performance/Relationship Management process that may include Executive Business Reviews that include Senior leaders both within Quanterix and with the 3rd party. Responsible for meeting preparation, pre-read documents, capturing action items, and ensuring appropriate follow-up. This would also include ensuring Supplier Performance Dashboards and Scorecards are complete.
• Participate in supplier audits and lead quarterly business reviews with critical vendors
• Some buying and purchase order management may be required

Minimum Experience and Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry experience
• APICS and/or ISM certification is desirable
• ERP/Syteline Experience preferred
• 8-10 years of experience in supply chain in a manufacturing environment
• Experience managing contract manufacturers or subcontractors
• Experience in an IVD industry is preferred
