PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting of computer hardware and software applications while performing/assisting the repair process. Responsible for ensuring product quality through repairing and testing of product to ensure specifications are met. Document issues and report potential quality related problems to Quality Management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify defects and/or flaws in routine parts and/or production.
• Repair or replace parts as necessary for servers.
• Use tools and test equipment of various types, to repair servers.
• Disassemble and/or reassemble units according to the applicable work instructions.
• Order correct parts using the proper procedures.
• Test units according to work instructions and process flows.
• Inspect products to ensure correct labeling.
• Complete applicable paperwork completely and accurately.
• Enter repair data accurately into the QMS shop floor system.
• Document and communicate repair issues to engineering.
• Perform data collection and analysis for use in problem solving.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum six (6) months to one (1) year technical repair experience in a related field.
• Minimum six (6) months to one (1) year experience in debugging and testing of electro mechanical assemblies preferred.
• A Plus Certification preferred.

• Computer literate in a Windows Environment; Excel, Word, Power Point, Access, Internet.

• Ability to comply with work standards of safety and other training.
• Ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment by identifying all safety hazards and recommending corrective actions when necessary.
• Must be detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Must be self-motivated with ability to use own initiative.
• Display flexibility to change direction frequently with little notice.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proven ability to complete projects under tight deadlines, even when there are competing requirements and changes in assignments.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Work is in a typical manufacturing environment; temperatures are controlled but sometimes can be warmer or colder than typical office setting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to distinguish colors.
• Ability to stand/sit for long periods.
• Ability to stoop/bend to look under, over and around items.
• Ability to stay still and/or move around on cement floors for long periods.

PAY INFORMATION

$20.75 base compensation $0.50 shift differential
