OVERVIEW
DEVELOPS AND PREPARES DOE TRAINING MATERIALS IN HIGHLY TECHNICAL SCIENTIFIC SUBJECT AREAS. INDIVIDUAL CONDUCTS TRAINING
ON CLASSIFICATION AND SENSITIVE INFORMATION POLICIES, GUIDELINES, AND PROCEDURES AT DOE FACILITIES. IN ADDITION, THE
INDIVIDUAL IN THIS POSITION MAY BE REQUIRED TO PERFORM THE DUTIES OF A DOCUMENT REVIEWER.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- ASSISTS IN THE CREATION AND IMPLEMENTATION OF TRAINING FOR ANALYSTS TO REVIEW AND COMPOSE RECORDS REGARDING
AND UCNI INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IN THE FOLLOWING TECHNICAL AREAS:
o NUCLEAR WEAPONS DESIGN AND IMPROVISED NUCLEAR DEVICES
o COUNTERINTELLIGENCE AND NUCLEAR INTELLIGENCE
o WEAPON SCIENCE AND INERTIAL CONFINEMENT FUSION
o MILITARY UTILIZATION OF NUCLEAR WEAPONS
o BALLISTIC MISSILE AND/OR REENTRY BODY/VEHICLE DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT, TESTING, PRODUCTION, AND
DEPLOYMENT
o SPECIAL NUCLEAR MATERIAL (SNM) PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGIES SUCH AS, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ISOTOPE
SEPARATION TECHNOLOGIES (ATOMIC VAPOR LASER ISOTOPE SEPARATION, GASEOUS DIFFUSION, GAS CENTRIFUGE,
ETC.) AND NUCLEAR MATERIAL PROCESSING
o COUNTERINTELLIGENCE AND NUCLEAR INTELLIGENCE
o NUCLEAR NONPROLIFERATION (TECHNOLOGY AND/OR SAFEGUARDS PROGRAMS)
o RADIOLOGICAL WEAPONS AND IMPROVISED NUCLEAR DEVICES
o SPACE NUCLEAR REACTORS AND NAVAL NUCLEAR PROPULSION
- ADDITIONALLY, RECOGNIZES THE POTENTIAL FOR OTHER TECHNICAL AREAS’ OF RD/FRD/DOE NSI/UCNI IN DOCUMENTS
- ASSISTS IN THE DEVELOPMENT AND REVIEW OF TRAINING COMPOSITION AND PROCESSING FOR AUTOMATIC DECLASSIFICATION,
- DETERMINES WHETHER INFORMATION IS CLASSIFIED OR UNCLASSIFIED BUT SENSITIVE AND MAKES APPROPRIATE
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- DOD TOP SECRET CLEARANCE WITH SCI ELIGIBILITY OR A DOE "Q" CLEARANCE

- MUST HAVE A BACHELOR’S DEGREE IN ENGINEERING OR A PHYSICAL SCIENCE FROM AN ACCREDITED COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY.
- AT LEAST FIVE (5) YEARS OF RECENT CLASSIFICATION AND TWO (2) YEARS OF DIRECT TRAINING EXPERIENCE WITH MODERN
o THE DEVELOPMENT OF COURSE SYLLABUSES,
o STUDENT EVALUATIONS,
o RECOGNITION OF INDIVIDUAL STUDENT REQUIREMENTS,
o AND UTILIZATION OF COMPUTER-BASED TRAINING SYSTEMS.
