Metal Finisher – Shakeout/Deburring Lead

Quality Tool, an ISO9001:2015 certified contract manufacturer delivering metal components to Fortune 500 companies, is seeking reliable, motivated and team-minded general laborers to work in our deburring area at our St. Paul, MN facility. This position requires leadership experience, along being responsible for operating a deburring machine to perform deburring, grinding and buffing operations on metal products.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures that all work is done in accordance with and adheres to Company ISO9001:2015 and Quality standards
• Understands and promotes company’s mission, values and quality policy.

• Strong attention to detail and workmanship.
• Good hand dexterity.
• Understanding of basic hand inspection tools i.e. Caliper, Micrometer, Dial Indicators.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Demonstrated problem solving ability in a machine shop environment.
• Good judgment and decision making skills.
• Good attendance and punctuality and willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Able to work independently, with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Desired Qualifications:

• 3 plus years of precision metal finishing experience.
• 2 years of experience leading a team of sheet metal operators
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Completion of an apprenticeship program, technical or trade school training program a plus.
