Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as the Volunteer Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our volunteer program, including recruitment, training, and management. The Volunteer Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our organization by effectively engaging and supporting our dedicated team of volunteers.
Duties:
- Develop and implement strategies to recruit and retain volunteers
- Coordinate volunteer assignments and schedules to ensure coverage for all necessary tasks
- Provide ongoing support and supervision to volunteers, including regular check-ins and performance evaluations
- Develop and deliver training programs for volunteers to enhance their skills and knowledge (helpful but not required)
- Collaborate with other departments to identify volunteer needs and opportunities
- Maintain accurate records of volunteer information, hours worked, and contributions made
- Utilize social media platforms to promote volunteer opportunities and engage with potential volunteers
- Manage volunteer recognition programs to acknowledge the contributions of our dedicated volunteers
Requirements:
- Proven experience in volunteer management, including recruitment, training, and supervision
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience in public speaking and delivering presentations (helpful but not required)
- Ability to develop and implement training programs for volunteers (helpful but not required)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
