Staffing Coordinator

Job Description, Duties, and Responsibilities

The Quality Life Services Staffing Coordinator is responsible for making sure that staffing requirements for every work shift are covered for our off-site Direct Support Staff.

This position entails preparing and organizing work schedules for Direct Support Staff to make sure that the required/appropriate number of personnel or staff are on duty in every given work period/shift.

In a bid to effectively carry out their role, the staffing coordinator has to work closely with both external and internal employees.

He/she also schedules and approves work-leave for employees.

Duties also include:

Staffing Coordinator tasks, duties, and responsibilities:

- Develop work schedules and allocate employees to different duties and/or shifts.

- Take responsibility for leave requests from employees and general work timekeeping (scheduling)

- Work with the payroll unit to ensure appropriate employee time coincide.

- Carry on call phone to assist with Call-ins.

- Keeping daily reports (on employees) that have to do with verifying the work-hours of every employee, verifying employees’ request for leave or time off, and also verifying vacancies that may exist in the company.

- Work with the payroll department with verification of employee work hours with the company’s payroll department on a regular basis to make sure that payments are made accurately.

Requirements –Staffing Scheduler Role

- Must have excellent communication skills, especially verbal/oral communication.

- Education- High School Diploma or greater.

- Must be able to work as part of a team,

- Possession of good organizational and leadership skill

- Ability to work with little or no supervision.

- Good interpersonal skills

- Possess excellent time management skills.

- Previous work experience in a similar role a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
