QMHP-A, QMHP - C) (reports to the Executive Director and/or LMHP/LCSW/Program Manager)

• Manages a small caseload of clients, providing services on an intensive basis and utilizing short-term, solution focused treatment strategies

• Responsible for writing daily progress notes

• Prepares the Preliminary Service Plan and Individual Service Plan, incorporating input from clients, involved service providers, and wraparound team members, and clearly identifying problem areas and needs, strategies, and service objectives

• Responsible for preparing monthly reports

• Responsible for preparing quarterly reports

• Responsible for submitting necessary information for extensions to Program Director

• Responsible for discharge planning

• Provides direct clinical services to clients and issue-specific or educational groups (parenting skills, anger management, substance abuse interventions)

• Responds to crisis situations with twenty-four hour a day availability

• Documents case activities for both clinical and billing purposes

• Prepares progress reports as required by referral source or service purchaser

• Participates in all interdisciplinary, diagnostic, or planning meetings

• Collaborates and coordinates with other case involved service providers and professionals, such as attorneys, social workers, and probation counselors

• Links clients with external programs or services, such as health services, recreational activities, childcare services, financial resources, employment resources, AA/NA groups, transportation resources, and others

• Attends court hearings when individuals are court-involved and presents testimony and treatment recommendations as requested by attorneys, referral source, the court, or client

• Apprises Program Director of work load, case activity, service barriers, and procedural problems in staff and one-on-one meetings

• Completes required 15 hours of professional training per year. Training hours can include but are not limited to the following: documentation of orientation, in-service training, and training's at other places of employment. Classes taken should all be documented on a training form. All outside training's must be approved by the Managing Partner.

"Qualified Mental Health Professional-Adult (QMHP-A)" means a person in the human services field who is trained and experienced in providing psychiatric or mental health services to individuals who have a mental illness.” A person with at least a bachelor's degree from an accredited college in an unrelated field that includes at least 15 semester credits (or equivalent) in a human services field and who has at least three years of clinical experience; (vi) a Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Provider (CPRP) registered with the United States Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association (USPRA); (vii) a registered nurse licensed in Virginia with at least one year of clinical experience; or (viii) any other licensed mental health professional. Received training in TOVA and has a current licensed as a QMHP- A.

Pay: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour
