About the Position:

At QC, you will be joining a small and talented team of technical professionals whose work advances our comprehensive suite of enterprise applications. 

Your range of tasks will vary from brainstorming design concepts to leveraging the latest tools and technologies to building and deploying ML pipelines; from advising on challenging specialty projects to analytical problem-solving and head-down coding. 

Skills and Requirements (must have):

  • Proficiency in Modern JavaScript (ES6 ): 5 years experience building and deploying modern Javascript applications with a deep understanding of latest JavaScript features, including arrow functions, classes, modules, and asynchronous programming (async/await).
  • Proficient in React.js: 3-5 years of experience in building complex web applications using React.js, including experience with state management, lifecycle methods, react router, hooks, and component-based architecture.
  • Proficient in Node.js and Express.js: 3-5 years experience in developing Node.js and the Express.js framework applications, including experience in building RESTful APIs, handling asynchronous operations, and implementing server-side logic.
  • Proficient in PostgreSQL (or equivalent): 2-4 years experience working with PostgreSQL databases, including writing SQL queries, understanding database schema design, and implementing data persistence and retrieval logic.
  • Understanding of Kubernetes: solid understanding of Kubernetes, including experience in deploying and managing containerized applications, configuring Kubernetes resources (e.g., Pods, Services, Deployments), and troubleshooting Kubernetes-related issues.
  • Experience with Docker: experience in building and managing Docker containers, including creating Dockerfiles, managing container images, and understanding container networking and storage concepts.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices: experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices, including setting up automated build and deployment pipelines, understanding version control systems (e.g., Git), and integrating with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI, GitHub Actions).
  • Understanding of microservices architecture: understanding of microservices architecture, including experience in designing and implementing loosely coupled, scalable, and maintainable services.
  • Experience with web application security: experience in implementing web application security best practices, such as authentication, authorization, input validation, and protection against common web vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10).
  • Familiarity with cloud-native technologies: general understanding of cloud-native technologies and concepts, such as infrastructure as code, serverless computing, and cloud-based monitoring and logging solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills: excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as the ability to effectively communicate technical solutions and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Skills and Requirements (nice to have):

  • Experience with YOLOv8 and other object detection models: Experience in training, fine-tuning, and deploying object detection models using popular Python libraries (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras)
  • Proficiency in computer vision and video analytics: Experience in applying computer vision techniques (e.g., image segmentation, feature extraction, object recognition) using Python libraries like OpenCV, scikit-image, or TensorFlow.
  • Expertise in data processing and visualization: Ability to handle and process large volumes of data (e.g., video frames, object detection results) using efficient Python data structures and libraries (e.g., NumPy, Pandas).

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent field of study

Pay and Benefits:

  • Fully remote position.
  • Pay range: $80,000 - $100,000 annually with performance bonuses.
  • Full-time, salary-exempt; biweekly pay periods.
  • Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and Disability insurance packages. 
  • PTO [Paid Time Off] – 184 hours per year, increasing to 224 hours per year following the completion of five years of full-time employment.
  • VTO [Volunteer Time Off] – 40 hours annually.
  • 401K with employer contributions beginning one year after employment.
