Quality Correctional Care is looking for a Licensed Nurse to join our team. This person is responsible for assisting physicians while providing treatment to patients with a variety of medical conditions. He/she will administer medication, monitor and record patient progress, and educate families and the patient as needed. We are in search of a motivated and enthusiastic individual to make meaningful contributions to the team’s shared vision and further the care we provide to patients and clients.LPN/RN Day to day tasks include but are not limited to:
- Seeing patients for medical complaints, both acute and chronic
- Performing 14-day physicals on all patients
- Managing their chronic medical conditions by monitoring labs and medication efficiency
- Working with the dentist to ensure that our patients oral care is addressed
- Responding to medical emergencies
- Working hand in hand with physicians, PA's, NP's and correctional staff who all have the same goal of optimal patient care
- This job is not monotonous, and every day brings something new. Each day presents unique opportunities and challenges that will undoubtedly foster professional and personal growth
- Valid LPN or RN licensure
- A minimum of six months of recent medical experience
- Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time
- Must be able to push, pull, reach, and bend frequently
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
