Job Title: Paint Superintendent, Shop

Location: Youngsville, LA

Quality Construction & Production is accepting résumés for a Paint Superintendent to work in our Youngsville, LA Shop. The Paint Superintendent monitors the completion of projects by supervising crews and workers and ensuring their active engagement in proper painting coating and sandblasting tasks of fabricated structural steel material and customer equipment while following the company’s policies of safety procedures and work practices.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assigns tasks to workforce and monitors personnel to ensure completion of tasks while maintaining effective communication skills.
• Ensures that work crews are properly supplied with tools, equipment, and materials.
• Supervises proper use of tools and equipment and demonstrate equipment operations and work and safety procedures to new employees.
• Schedule and approve work for painting personnel to meet schedules.
• Inspect materials, components, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
• Interpret specifications, technical drawings and data, job orders, routers, workplace instructions, and company policies and procedures for supervised personnel.
• Troubleshoot and repair defects of product failures and implement corrective actions.
• Complete required Paint Report documentation on painting procedures and ensure proper submission for document history.
• Monitor and document environmental hazards to comply with regulations
• Control operating supply usage for assigned departments to maintain adherence to budget.

Required Qualifications:

• 4 years of experience in commercial/industrial painting.
• 2 years supervision experience.
