Job Title: Fiber Tech
Job Description:
Quality Communications is looking for a reliable and hardworking fiber tech who is ready to work and be part of the team.
Responsibilities:
- Installation of inside plant & outside plant fiber.
- Basic understanding telecom industry terminology.
- Understand basic fiber color code per ANSI/TIA 568.
- Comply with company weekly and daily paperwork requirements (timesheets, daily reports, etc.)
- Adhere to all required project safety requirements.
- Must have basic fiber termination hand tools.
- Must have experience in fusion & mechanical splicing.
- Must have experience terminating UniCamĀ® & anaerobic connectors.
- Must have experience troubleshooting & testing with OTDR and Power Meters.
- Flexible in scheduling and available to work nights and weekends, if needed
- Must demonstrate a positive and professional work environment with coworkers and customers
- Must demonstrate accountability and reliability
Additional Notes:
- Probationary period of 60 days
- Applicant must be able to pass a drug and physical screening as well as background requirements
- Applicant must be available to travel locally and out of state for various work site locations
