Title: Mobile Ultrasound Sonographer
Job Description:
As a Mobile Ultrasound Sonographer, you will play a crucial role in our healthcare service by providing diagnostic ultrasound exams in various nursing homes, home care facilities, prisons, and processing sites. You'll travel to different locations within our serviced regions, making this position dynamic and rewarding.
Responsibilities:
- Self-dispatch or call into the dispatch department for case load information.
- Arrive promptly at the start of your assigned shift, or 30 minutes before your first case.
- Unload portable sonographic equipment and conduct exams as ordered by physicians.
- Perform and process Ultrasounds using portable equipment, sending them for interpretation by a Radiologist.
- Check voicemail from each client facility upon completing assigned cases or every 30 minutes.
- Wear the company uniform, adhere to dress code, and carry the provided phone for efficient communication.
- Attend required meetings and ensure accuracy of patient orders before proceeding with exams.
- Confirm patient identity using two identifiers, maintaining a high standard of medical ethics.
- Communicate professionally with the call center, dispatch, peers, supervisors, and clients.
- Maintain company-provided vehicle and sonographic equipment in good condition.
- Train other technologists when required and stay updated on industry advancements and procedures.
Requirements:
- Registered with ARDMS or CCI for vascular ultrasound.
- Hold relevant ARDMS credentials: RVT, RDMS(AB), ARDMS(ECHO).
- Graduate of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound technology program.
- Valid driver's license and ability to produce it on demand.
- Good organizational skills and ability to work independently.
- Basic smartphone and computer skills, including printing and scanning documents.
- Knowledge of applicable regions, geography, and travel routes.
- Pleasant phone manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
