Job Title: Adolescent Behavioral Health RN
Location: The Brattleboro Retreat, Vermont
Position Summary:
The Adolescent Behavioral Health RN works with the multidisciplinary team to identify individual and group needs and interventions, utilizes the nursing process to meet the needs of patients requiring complex nursing care, and provides clinical supervision of MHW's to ensure safe and therapeutic delivery of care.
Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):
- Utilizes the nursing process to assess, implement, and evaluate patient/family care.
- Provides nursing care (including the administration of medication) to meet patients' needs.
- Participates in the development and maintenance of a safe and therapeutic milieu in the assigned care area.
- Adheres to and implements organizational and departmental policies and procedures as they pertain to the work area.
- Performs constant observations, intermittent observations, specializing, checks, or other forms of patient safety procedures as assigned.
- Shares information appropriately with members of the multidisciplinary team and other hospital department representatives through verbal reports and written documentation.
- Participates in pre-admission evaluation as requested by Program Manager and completes Admission Nursing Assessment on all new Admissions to C/A Residential I Partial Programs (Including ARCC).
- Conducts monthly medication renewals and reviews daily reports.
- Responsible for follow-up on medical tests and labs. Oversees completion of admission paperwork.
- Completes medication portion of aftercare forms.
- Responsible for tracking medical errors.
Requirements:
- Psych/Behavioral Health Experience - Required
- Experience working with child and adolescent populations - Required
- CPI certification - please confirm they are willing to obtain onsite if they don't already have this certification. - Required
- COVID vaccination and Booster - Required

Working Hours:
- Full-time position, TBD shifts per week.
