RN - CVICU
We're looking for RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening. The right RN should have 2 years or more of recent experience.
As a Travel Nurse, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:
Provide basic bedside care.
Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients.
Initiate corrective action whenever information from monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology!
Able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty.
Able to easily lift 20 pounds. Moving or lifting of patients may require lifting of up to 50 pounds at times.
This is a high acuity, fast-paced unit that requires teamwork and strong communication skills. First Time Travelers Accepted. Travelers will be expected to float.

Weekly Gross $2,995.00
Hourly Rate $ 40.75/hr
OT Rate $61.13/hr
Weekly Stipend $1365.00
Blended rate $74.88/hr
13 Week contract
40 hrs/week, 5x8 Rotating (8 hrs)

Job Description:
** Registered Nurse (Cardiothoracic Surgery and Transplant)**
**Position Overview:**
Join the Cardiothoracic Surgery and Transplant team at the #1 hospital in Wisconsin! We are seeking a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to patients on this acuity adaptable unit. As part of the team, you will deliver care for patients requiring specialized treatment for cardiac and thoracic surgeries, procedures, heart and/or lung transplants, and various medical devices. Your role will involve a mixture of technological expertise and a positive commitment to meeting patient and family needs.
**Minimum Requirements:**
- Facility Requirement: Traveler must have a permanent address outside a 50-mile radius of Madison.
- Experience: ICU experience required. Experience and knowledge of NextStage CVVH machine required. Experience in a Cardiothoracic Surgery and/or Acuity Adaptable area preferred.
- Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last 3 years.
- Traveler must have experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center or a similar size hospital.
- Licensure and Certification: Traveler must have a WI nursing license or a compact license from their permanent address state. BLS/ACLS must be certified through the American Heart Association ONLY.
- Reference: Two references required from recent work environment/assignments (supervisor or manager only).
- Telemetry: Traveler must have Basic Arrhythmia experience. Traveler will be required to pass UW Health Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start.
- Floating: Travelers may be assigned shifts in multiple units based on staffing needs. Shifts may be reassigned to other units during the assignment if the primary unit no longer has a need.
