Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care assistance to special needs, elderly or disabled individuals in their homes or assisted living facilities.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Monitor and report changes in clients' health status to the appropriate medical personnel.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment when necessary.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Help with meal planning, preparation, and feeding.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and organizing.
- Escort clients to medical appointments or social outings.
Requirements:
- Experience in Special needs, senior care, assisted living, dementia care, or memory care is preferred.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies for working with individuals with challenging behaviors.
- Familiarity with resident rights and regulations in nursing homes or assisted living facilities.
- Ability to provide direct support to individuals with physical or cognitive disabilities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact compassionately with clients and their families.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays if needed.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
