Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a strong and compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Certified Residential Medication Aide (CRMA) in Lewiston. In this role, you will be responsible for providing direct care and support to 1 female resident with intellectual and developmental disabilities or other special needs. You will also be responsible for administering medications in accordance with state regulations and ensuring the well-being and safety of our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities or other special needs.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
• Administer medications to clients according to prescribed dosages and schedules, ensuring compliance with state regulations and organizational policies.
• Monitor and document clients' health status and medication administration in accordance with established procedures.
• Assist clients with therapeutic and recreational activities, promoting socialization and community integration.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including healthcare professionals, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment for clients, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
• Provide crisis intervention and support as needed, following established protocols and procedures.
• Participate in training and professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills in the field of developmental disabilities and medication administration.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in human services, healthcare, or related field preferred.
• Current certification as a Certified Residential Medication Aide (CRMA) required, CPI and SafetyCare.
• Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• Compassionate, patient, and empathetic attitude.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
