Quality Biomedical is seeking a driver with his / her own cargo/sprinter van, 2 axle enclosed trailer, or box truck to pick up and deliver small to medium pieces of medical equipment.
The radius for pickups and deliveries will be 300 to 700 miles from the Cross Dock; specific routes will vary from 100 - 600 miles round trip and will generally include several stops.
This driver will work in conjunction with our Logistics team and may involve crossing state lines occasionally.
The owner / driver will be an independent contractor with a vehicle that is properly licensed, insured, and maintained.
Bed length greater than 10ft for cargo is required to be considered as an independent contractor with QB.
The owner/ driver is also expected to have a clean driving record and must have a $1M Commercial Liability Policy at minimum (Cargo Insurance, specifically, is currently not required).
The Company will enter into a formal agreement for the provision of delivery services.
The successful owner / driver operating with a cargo/sprinter van will be paid $0.75 a mile ROUND TRIP (billed as from and to the cross dock), for each assignment.
The successful owner / driver operating with a 12ft. dual axle enclosed trailer or box truck will be paid $0.90 a mile ROUND TRIP (billed as from and to the cross dock), for each assignment.
Assignments will be available 3-4 days each week, Monday-Friday; as our business expands in this region, this is full-time opportunity. Drivers in this region typically earn $1,100-$2,300 per week. This may vary.
Optional overnight opportunities may arise as the company continues to grow.
