POSITION PURPOSE:
Responsible for overseeing the company’s inventory, building cost-effective supply chain processes, optimizing warehouse operations, and analyzing and building relationships with current and new suppliers.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Maintaining warehouse by initiating and coordinating operational policies and procedures.
· Learning and implementing the company’s inventory tracking system for optimized inventory control procedures.
· Examining inventory levels of materials and supplies to prevent shortages or overstock.
· Creating detailed reports for adjustments, inventory operations, and stock levels.
· Properly ordering new supplies avoiding excessive surplus or inefficiencies.
· Analyzing various (inventory) suppliers to ensure our procurement strategy maintains a high level of quality while maximizing value with all purchasing decisions.
· Developing and strengthening business relationships with our existing (and new) suppliers such that our company maintains a competitive purchasing advantage in our market.
· Proposing strategies in reducing costs while improving procedures of our supply chain logistics.
· Monitoring demand and analyzing data to anticipate future supply requirements and logistical constraints.
· Reporting on inventory levels, supply chain, procedural efficiency, and personnel issues to upper management on a regular basis.
· Complying with federal, state, and local warehousing and material handling laws and regulations.
· Maintaining to a high degree of order, the physical warehouse condition by planning and implementing new design layouts, inspecting equipment, and managing repairs and replacements as required.
· Managing deliveries of parts/orders to clients (as needed).
· Maintaining one’s professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies which focus on the advancement within the “HVAC warehouse and supply house inventory management” sector.
· Managing the company’s fleet and improving the standard operating procedures (SOP’s).
· Ensuring that ever-changing costs of stock items are constantly being tracked and updated in our inventory system.
· Managing and training the warehouse assistant in ensuring they can cover all day-day tasks should you be out of the office for any amount of time.
· Securing and tracking high-cost tools being used by techs in the field to ensure that they are always in good working condition and with the correct person.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
· Effectively works with all team members in a collaborative way and accepts additional job responsibilities outside the scope of his/her position as needed.
· Knowledge of warehouse equipment, operation, and maintenance.
· Proficient and effective communicator (verbal and written)
· Proficiency with inventory management processes and logistical management
· Strong attention to detail
· Ability to develop, improve and implement SOP’s.

· Carries a basic level of understanding of technical aspects of HVAC supply house inventory (parts/equipment)
· 2 years of experience in a similar role.
· High school diploma required.
· BA in inventory management or supply chain logistics is preferred.
· Ability to lift 50lbs or more.
