SHIPPPING & RECEIVING - 2nd Shift
Are you stuck in the wrong job? Let us help you escape! Our client is a major producer of automotive seats and is currently looking for a dedicated Shipping & Receiving associate for their 2nd shift. Estimated work schedule is Monday-Friday, 4pm to 12:30am (possible train on 1st shift 6am to 2:30pm). Wage is $16.25 per hour.

- According to the shipping pick lists, pull and stage materials for shipments in accordance with established FIFO policy.
- Scan outgoing material when staging and preparing shipments.
- Create and process shipping documentation via ERP system when required.
- When necessary, send Advanced Shipping Notifications (ASN) to inpidual customers in line with their expectations regarding timeliness and method.
- Follow all safety procedures for fork lift operation and loading and unloading of material.
- Perform any necessary safety checks on fork lifts prior to operation and inform supervisor of any unsafe or inoperable conditions that exist.
- Assist with the duties of receiving clerk when necessary.
- Follow and promote company safety and cleanliness (6S) standards to ensure a safe work environment. Alert supervisor of any unsafe conditions.
- Understanding IATF-16949 and ISO-14001 Requirements that are associated with Toyo Seat.
- Assist in training levels of Associates regarding IATF-16949 and ISO-14001 Documentation Requirements.
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Shipping/Receiving Supervisor.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma/GED required.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Requires the ability to learn and follow standard work practices.
- Requires the ability to acquire a fork truck driving permit.
- Must have knowledge of IATF-16949 and ISO-14001 Requirements.
- Must have knowledge of Customer Specific Requirements.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION
- Ability to work in a fast paced office environment
- Ability to sit and use hands to type on computer keyboard.
- The noise level in the office environment is usually quiet to moderate
- The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so other will understand
- The ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted
