Job Description Summary

The Production Operator I will run various machines at optimal level with some complexities, ability to troubleshoot machine, conduct changeovers, and respond quickly to any machine faults in both automated and non-automated cells. The position reports to the Production Supervisor.

The duties and responsibilities of a Production Operator I will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

• Responsible for achieving rate and meeting targets.
• Loads, hands, positions, unloads, and manipulate parts.
• Conducts changeovers and setups as a team.
• Performs all quality functions and checks as required.
• Follows all safety procedures.
• Performs all shop order functions, packing instructions and labeling requirements.
• Responds to machine faults and downtime, and accurately track on data collection sheets.
• Performs all quality functions and checks as required.
• Keeps a clean and organized work area.
• Inspects parts and machinery for errors.
• Works cooperatively and cohesively with team members, and escalates to Zone Leader any inappropriate conduct or language.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Work Experience: Entry level
• Education: Basic reading, writing and math skills
• Computer Skills: Beginner computer skills or willingness to learn
• Organization Skills: Ability to efficiently work in a high paced environment
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team and with inpiduals at all levels.

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience: 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment
• Education: High school diploma or GED
