Molding Operator

Shift: 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts open

Rate: $15 to $16 depending on shift

Overtime available

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Reports to work station and:
  • Reviews the 'Operator Instruction Sheet' and the trim sample for that job.
  • If the 'Operator Instruction Sheet' and/or the trim sample are not at the workstation,
    notify the supervisor immediately.
  • Reviews molding machine performance with molding machine operator from
    previous shift and checks for good housekeeping in work area.
• Operates the molding machine per established procedures.
• Trims, inspects, and packs quality finished parts per the process documentation.
• Collects and records prescribed data at appropriate intervals on required paperwork and/or machine controller system. (where applicable).
• Places scrap and regrind material in designated area.
• Grinds all regrind material when needed.
• Reports excessive scrap or molding machine problems to the supervisor and technicians immediately.
• Maintains good housekeeping in work area.
• Communicates problems or necessary information to oncoming molding machine operator.
• Completes all paperwork per established procedure.
• Operates machine controller system (where applicable).
• Performs other tasks assigned by designated supervisor.
