Qualified Staffing is Hiring a Maintenance technician Near Grand Rapids, MI
MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Our client has been in the steel and fapication business since 1964. They have grown into one of the largest steel / metal fapicators in Michigan and they are looking to expand their team.
Wage : $20-$28 based on experience
Shift : 1st Shift 5am - 4pm
Schedule : Mon - Fri
Experience and Responsibilities :
- Experience with welding and electrical.
- Able to set up and operate a variety of machine tools in a maintenance setting (saw,
- drill press, Bridgeport, etc.) or strong willingness to learn.
- May maintain and lupicate machine tools and equipment.
- May repair or replace faulty wiring, switches or relays.
- Motivated, detail oriented and the ability to perform as a team player.
- Strong analytical skills, mechanical aptitude, and manual dexterity.
- Ability to manage time and keep key maintenance equipment up and running.
- Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision.
Work Schedule and Environment :
- First shift Monday thru Thursday. OT available on Friday.
- Wage rate is based upon experience.
- Use of protective safety equipment required.
- Strong team environment.
- Results driven and goal oriented.
- Strength Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and / or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Environment :
Due to the environment the following are required : hearing protection, slip resistant shoes and eye protection.
Work area is an oily environment.
