We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Director to help manage our family-owned child care center whose values, strengths, and experiences align with our unique program. Our Assistant Director will join a team of 30 employees, serving over 100 families, and assume a role of responsibility and leadership. We are looking for a committed individual with a passion for early childhood who wants to make a difference in the lives of young children and their families. Required skills, education, and experience:

• Exceptional leadership, organizational and communication skills
• Strong working knowledge of early childhood center operations
• Leadership and supervisory experience in developing and directing a team of professional staff and mentoring teachers
• Knowledge of MSDE licensing regulations and developmentally appropriate best practices
• Must meet all MSDE requirements for the position

Primary responsibilities will be to provide leadership and guidance to staff members, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. We are looking for an experienced teacher who is comfortable training and mentoring other teachers just starting off in their careers. It is primarily a classroom position where you will be modeling best practices in early childhood. Office duties will also be required as necessary to help our Director, including closing the center some evenings. You MUST be able to work 9am-6pm every day and be happy keeping that schedule long term.
