Position Summary

The Chemical Regulatory Affairs intern will handle two main projects in the product stewardship team within R&D. The first project will be to assist in data gathering and evaluation of information for our EPA Chemical Data Report (CDR). Training will be provided on our software tools as well as training on basic chemical legislation and GHS (globally harmonized system for classification or materials).

The second project will also require a bit more chemistry knowledge as this project involves working on our New Product Introduction (NPI) process in setting up new and updated products in our SDS authoring system (Sphera). The intern will learn quite a bit about reaction chemistry and neutralizations and how that information is used to support chemical regulations as well as classifications of materials.

Qualifications

• Current 1st year student pursuing their Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline, ideally in Chemistry or Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Attention to detail and organized.
• Excellent communication skills.
