MUST:
Experienced Audit Compliance Program Technician Active Secret clearance 4 years of general experience in SAP (Systems Applications Products) 1 year of Accounting/execution/audit compliance experience. Financial management experience. Knowledge of Financial Management Regulations (GFEBS, DAI, STANFINS systems) FIAR trained, with an in-depth knowledge of internal control program requirements to support implementation of a viable MIC Program. In-depth knowledge of Office Products including expert knowledge in PowerPoint. MS / BA Degree required.
DUTIES:
Develop and update audit readiness sustainment and implementation plans, to reflect ongoing activities and updated FIAR priorities. Develop and maintain SharePoint control catalogues to list identified internal control activities. Provide detailed test plans documenting planned procedures used to test the operating effectiveness of control activities. Develop and maintain an audit readiness sustainment schedule and POAM to reflect initial and ongoing audit readiness efforts. Assist in presentations required in the review and approval process for all audit preparation and response packages. Prepare and/or update all process documentation (i.e., checklists, guides, process narratives and flowcharts) and assess the design, and testing the operating effectiveness of internal controls. Support audit liaison activities between auditors and program personnel. Coordinate correspondence between external audit agencies and the program office. Coordinate on-site visits between the audit agency and the program office. Review all audit requests, distribute requests to cognizant program office personnel, and establish task timelines. Assist in developing audit schedules and research papers on financial accounting and auditing standards. Work closely with auditors to assist them in gaining an understanding of the applicable business processes, financial systems, and financial statements. Assist as needed in data gathering and retrieval of source documentation required by auditors.
