Position: Techno-functional specialist - JD Edwards
Location: Montreal (Quebec), Toronto (Ontario), Oakville (Ontario), Burlington (Ontario), Edmonton (Alberta) or USA (Houston / The Woodlands)
Minimum Weekly Office attendance: 2 days a week

In this role, as a JD Edwards Techno-functional specialist, you will spearhead requirement gathering and validation, design, develop, test, and implement custom-tailored software solutions. Collaborating closely with internal users, the user experience team, and the digital team, you will ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

Under the guidance of the Application & Architecture Manager, the JD Edwards Techno-functional specialist holds a central role within the organization. Driven by a passion for enhancing ERP system processes and adept at identifying improvement opportunities, the specialist possesses an exceptional understanding of the overarching ERP solution. Rooted in profound functional and technical expertise, coupled with extensive application development and integration skills, this role serves as the cornerstone for optimizing enterprise operations.
Responsibilities:
Solution Development and Process Enhancement (65%)
  • Analyze business needs and translate them into software solutions.
  • Design, develop, test, and implement custom JD Edwards applications.
  • Identify opportunities to improve ERP processes and workflows.
  • Stay up to date on JD Edwards updates and implement them when necessary.
  • Conduct gap analysis and help implement solutions to bridge those gaps.
  • Work with external developers to create JD Edwards enhancements.
  • Support existing applications and develop new features.
Strategic Collaboration and Roadmap Development (10%)
  • Collaborate with various teams to ensure solutions align with business goals.
Integrated ERP Solutions and Team Empowerment (25%)
  • Help train and mentor other team members.
Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software, computer engineering, or related fields.
  • Extensive experience in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne modules (distribution, manufacturing, financial).
  • Minimum 5 years of design and development experience, with 2 years in JD Edwards Orchestration, AIS services, and/or JDE BSSV/RTE integration.
  • Proficiency in SQL, database design, Data Access Studio, and requirement gathering/validation.
  • Demonstrated team collaboration and understanding of SDLC development life cycles.
  • Strong knowledge of JD Edwards system development and functional aspects, with some understanding of security management.
  • Experience in software quality assurance and excellent analytical, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership, influence, Agile, and Scrum development expertise, along with mentoring and problem-solving abilities.
Working Conditions:
  • Flexibility and availability are required to meet project deadlines.
  • Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings including travel.
  • Some travel may be required for the purpose of meeting with clients, stakeholders, or off-site personnel/management.
