Quad County HR is Hiring a Music Therapy Program Manager - MT-BC required Near Los Angeles, CA

Children’s Music Fund(Children's Music Fund) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides Music Therapy Services to children affected by chronic conditions or life-altering illnesses to help them on their journey towards a better quality of life.

Position: Program Manager - Music Therapy

Reports to: Executive Director

Status: Full-Time, Exempt Employee

Focus: Music Therapy Program Manager has operational responsibility and oversight of Children’s Music Fund’s Music Therapy Services, management of the Music Therapists and the research data acquired in alignment with the strategic objectives of the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of Music Therapy Services which includes the program’s purpose, goals, objectives, and outcomes, both desired and to date. 
  • Provide smooth and effective execution of Music Therapy program, and regularly evaluate program components, collect and record data, metrics, and outcomes, from inquiry to completion of service.
  • Create and implement streamlined program processes and procedures, in accordance with industry best practices, including protected health information. 
  • Source, interview and build a national network of board-certified Music Therapists.
  • Monitor Music Therapy Services, outcomes and guidelines in alignment with those set by the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA), including accreditation standards. 
  • Manage enrollment process to qualify recipients for services and match with Music Therapists based on need and intake assessment.
  • Conduct outreach for recipient referrals, from hospitals, clinics, associations and other similar sources.
  • Set, assign and distribute hours to each Music Therapist monthly, conditions and experience permitting.
  • Provide direct service Music Therapy sessions with CMF Kids, as needed.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly and semi-annual reports, as requested; host meetings to communicate regularly at all levels in the organization.
  • Provide data requested to support the Annual Impact Statement, grant proposals, fundraising, and marketing efforts.
  • Oversight of program and event volunteers. 
  • Management of the Children's Music Fund Kids Network, engaging alumni, families, and partners regularly.
  • Review and approve monthly expenses/hours/invoices from Music Therapists.
  • Recommend timelines and resources needed to achieve annual strategic goals. 
  • Support research efforts and publishing of papers related to benefits of Music Therapy. Children's Music Fund. Serve as a member of the Research Committee.
  • Participate in Children's Music Fund events, conferences, and meetings, as requested.
  • Other activities as needed to support the Children's Music Fund organization’s mission.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a Board-Certified Music Therapist and maintain current certification.
  • Must reside in Los Angeles County, CA.
  • 2-5 years of direct service and/or managing programs; preferably Music Therapy programs with children/young adults.
  • Excellence in organizational management and communication skills with proven leadership experience with the ability to advise, manage, and develop a strong network of Music Therapists, healthcare professionals, associations and families.
  • Action-oriented, adaptable, and innovative in developing approaches in planning and executing recipient and referral programs.
  • Ability to work effectively independently remotely and in collaboration with Executive Director, President, Board of Directors, Advisory Council, Music Therapists, related professional and medical associations, families, volunteers and multiple recipient referral sources.
  • Mission-driven, positive attitude, high-integrity, and self-directed while working as part of a team.
  • Strong background collecting and analyzing data for Music Therapy research, preferred.
  • Bilingual, Spanish speaking preferred.
  • Must be available evenings and weekends, as needed.
