Qualifications:

· MA Certification as a Library Media Specialist.

· Masters Degree in Library and information studies.

· Experience working in a Library Media Center.

· Strong Instructional technology skills.

· Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, reach, carry and lift occasionally up to 30lbs.

Responsibilities:

· Supervise students while in Library.

· Develop a scope and sequence of lessons based on DESE Standards.

· Instruct and oversee the Library/Media Center at both elementary schools.

· Communicate and work well with staff, students, administrators and parents.

· Develop a plan for regular upgrading and replacement of library-media materials.

· Serve as a resource for the students and staff to assist with acquisition of information.

· Perform basic maintenance and inventory on library/media equipment.

· Develop a scope and sequence of lessons based on DESE Standards.

· Collaborate with classroom teachers to design and implement units of instruction, assess student learning.

· Integrate social emotional learning and culturally, responsive teaching.

· Implement IEP, 504’s and participate in Team meetings as needed

· Empower students to be critical thinkers, foster a love for reading, be skillful in their research and use information appropriately.

Pay: $48,500.00 - $90,000.00 per year
