We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer II at Qrypt, to work as part of a cross-functional team that focuses on driving innovation and quality in Qrypt's core solutions. The Software Engineer II will help design and build new solutions that apply Qrypt's technology to real world use cases. The ideal candidate will also deliver new features for our existing products and services, help respond to incidents, resolve defects, refactor code to reduce technical debt, and expand automated test coverage.
This is a NYC/hybrid role with periodic travel to the NYC office.
What you'll do

• You will mentor and coach junior team members.
• You will scope work, manage project priorities and deliverables, identify risks, and develop solutions to mitigate them.
• You will derive requirements, develop, and test moderately complex features using (C , Python, Rust).
• Build automated tests to verify the quality of your features in CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop well-written code that follows design best practices and rarely results in defects or requires refactoring.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and 2 years of professional experience.
• Proficiency with back-end design principals to design and build scalable software systems.
• Proficiency developing client libraries
• Proficiency with databases (on-disk and in-memory), message brokers, software design principals (SOLID Principals, GOF Patterns).
• Proficiency with object-oriented programming, data structures and algorithms.
• Proficiency with Agile processes, CI/CD pipelines, and test automation

The annual base pay range for this role is $115,000 - $155,000. The actual base salary pay offered may vary based on multiple factors such as qualifications, experience, transferable skills, level of education, and other factors permitted by law. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work in this location and refers to the amount Qrypt is willing to pay at the time of this posting. The range listed is just one component of Qrypt's total compensation package.
