Position Title : Maintenance Technician

Wage : $24-$32 / hour

Shift : 2nd

Hours : 3pm-1 : 30am Monday-Thursday

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild equipment
• Perform Preventive Maintenance on equipment
• Day to day facility upkeep
• Develop maintenance SOP’s and maintain proper records
• Assist with day-to-day facility upkeep and manufacturing / distribution equipment repair and preventative maintenance
• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild mechanical, pneumatic / hydraulic, HVAC and electrical / electronic equipment
• Record repairs and maintenance performed
• Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines;

following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions

• Complete maintenance work by requested due dates
• Actively pursue measures to reduce downtime on plant equipment, identify opportunities, and take measures to reduce waste
• Suggest cost-saving upgrades to equipment and changes to improve performance of equipment
• Source and order parts and supplies when needed
• Support continuous improvement activities and Kaizen events facility wide
• Oversee outside contractors when needed for mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance
• Assist with the development and maintenance of SOPs and the Preventative Maintenance program
• Assist manager in overseeing major installation or repair projects
• Additional duties and tasks as directed by supervisor

Maintenance Technician Requirements :

• High school diploma or GED
• Trade school courses or similar formal training from past employer
• One or more of the following Professional Certifications preferred : electrical, hydraulic, PLC, welding, machine equipment, HVAC, or plumbing
• 2 years of full-time Industrial Maintenance experience in an industrial environment performing maintenance on mechanical equipment and systems preferred
• Experience working with TPM or PM programs preferred; in-depth knowledge and experience working with electrical controls strongly preferred
• Lift up to 50lbs
• Bend, walk, kneel, stretch, and stand for extended periods of time
• Work at heights of up to 30 feet
• Work in confined spaces, indoors and outdoors in all climates and unclean environments with fumes, dust, and poor ventilation
