Position Title : CNC Lathe Set Up Operator 2nd Shift
Wage : $25.00 - $28.00 / hour
Shift : 2nd
Hours : 2 : 30pm 11 : 00pm (Training on 1st 6 : 00am 2 : 30pm)

QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a CNC Lathe Set Up Operator at a company in Grayslake, IL. This is a potential to hire position for 2nd shift. Apply now!
CNC Lathe Set Up Operator Responsibilities :
- Read and interpret blueprints and bills of material (BOM) to determine complex setup procedures, tooling, settings and sequences
- Choose, align and mount fixtures, tools, attachments, accessories or other materials to the machine
- Program and edit multiple CNC lathe machines by entering commands so the machines perform the correct functions
- Prepare and load materials onto the machine
- Operate and monitor machine, check coolant and oil levels, fill as needed
- Use measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, thread gages, gage pins and tape measure to conduct inspections during the production process and verify products meets specifications
- Maintain productivity at levels that match or exceed production standards
- Communicate with Production Cell Supervisor on all issues related to discrepancies on drawing or BOM
- Work with Maintenance department on performing or scheduling routine maintenance
Requirements for CNC Lathe Set Up Operator :
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least five years of hands-on experience operating and setting up CNC lathe machines
- Certification or additional CNC training
- Able to read, understand and interpret complex blueprints, mechanical drawings and other written material
- Knowledge of Fanuc, Mazatrol and Siemens
