Position Overview: Are you passionate about the intersection of biotechnology, government policy, and effective people management? We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our company as a Portfolio Lead for Biotechnology. In this role, you will spearhead our efforts in biotechnology consulting, steering strategic projects, and nurturing a talented team of experts. If you possess a blend of leadership acumen and deep industry knowledge, we invite you to lead our mission in shaping the future of biotechnology consulting in national security. Responsibilities:
Manage a diverse set of requirements of biotechology consulting projects, ensuring they align with agency goals and are executed efficiently and effectively.
Document and gather requirements from the customer and implement processes to both track and document progress through data visualization of key performance indicators.
Execute issue sprints to advance organizational strategies via interviews, stakeholder facilitation, analysis, and synthesis of key points.
Lead and mentor a team of biotechnology advisors and experts, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with government stakeholders, biotechnology industry leaders, and other relevant partners.
Allocate resources, including personnel and budget, to optimize project outcomes and meet deadlines.
Stay up to date on biotechnology industry trends and regulations to inform policy development and decision-making. Required Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required. #qinetiqclearedjob
A bachelor’s degree in biotechnology, life sciences, business administration, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience and familiarity with government operations and regulations, especially in the context of biotechnology, is highly desirable.
Demonstrated project management experience across a variety of efforts involving personnel, strategic and organizational planning, business process improvement, business program and project management, and benchmarking and program metrics.
Demonstrated stakeholder management experience across a similar scope and complexity as posted above.
Demonstrated executive-level communications and interpersonal effectiveness skills across a variety of efforts involving similar scope and complexity.
Demonstrated working knowledge of current and emerging private sector best practices for investing in and leveraging critical emerging technologies.
Demonstrated working knowledge of government organization mission, vision, strategy direction, and key programs.
Demonstrated experience effectively enabling reach back support to commercial experts on behalf of government organization’s needs.
Demonstrated security systems experience.
Demonstrated experience with AGILE software development and JIRA for project tracking.
