Position Description

The Event Manager will be responsible to organize, execute and deliver QIAGEN events mainly in North America, and possibly Europe. This position partners with our three Business Areas: Life Sciences, Molecular Diagnostics and Bioinformatics, as well as with regional and local counterparts. The position is located in our well established Performance Marketing Channel Team.
Main tasks include:

- Plan, organize and execute all kind of events (congresses, exhibitions, customers events, internal meetings, etc) within the necessary formats (virtual, in-person, hybrid) and supervise them end-to-end remotely or in-person across departments and teams.

- Organize events to include pre-event research, logistics, budget planning, support development of marketing material, post-show evaluations and feedback rounds

- Supplier management (catering, logistic, booth builder, platform providers), set-up of agreements, purchasing orders and payment follow-up

- Stablish event organization and documentation (cost overview, briefing & debriefing presentation, meeting coordination, information hub, set-up of campaign and request via CRM/ Project Management system)

- Coordinate together with the core team event platform setup (QIAGEN virtual events and sponsored events/third parties platforms)

- Support the establishment of event goals and respective KPIs

- Support lead management process for events, ensuring Sales Prospects are inserted in the system (Sales Force) in due time.

- Serve as the Project Manager, create time tables and drive the internal processes with colleagues and respective departments (e.g.: content marketing, design, campaign management, video production, regional marketing, sales management and global teams)

- Assist with developing and administration of the event calendar and reports in close collaboration with relevant departments and functions

- Consulting of internal clients (regional marketing and business areas) regarding best practices in event marketing

- Become knowledgeable on QIAGEN software (Percolate, SRM, Sales Force, Eloqua) and understand how they relate to executing an event

Position Requirements

- 2 years proofed working experience in event management in Biotech companies or similar (B2B environment)

- Strong discipline and project management skills to permit multitasking

- Quick learner and excellent team player

- Familiar with event-KPIs and tracking

- Excellent Communication skills with internal and external partners (agencies, trade show builders, Caterers, stakeholders,

- Digital driven mentality

- Extreme attention to detail with strong ability to meet deadlines and effectively prioritize competing tasks

- Metrics driven and results oriented with demonstrated analytical skills.

- Ability to meet tight deadlines (ability to work under deadline pressure), multi-task and keep focused.

Personal Requirements

- Fluent in English, additional languages are a plus

- Self-organized working style and ability to work across functions and in an international teams

- Must enjoy working within a collaborative environment and have a customer-first mindset

- Willingness to travel (20%) to supervise our events and to occasionally work on weekends

- Strong work ethic and flexible to adapt to change
